I'm not trying to be a troll, I just dont see the point to the upload of this photo., I mean sure it's exposed well... has some good dof, but.... The subject is being blocked by a leaf ... We are missing the actual beauty of this flower I am sure.

At first, I decided to upload this pic because of exactly what you said: it had good quality. Because my camera has an extremely hard time with macro shots, I eagerly posted this.

But now, as I look at it months later, I think there is an interpretation that can be applied to it. That leaf you don't like symbolizes the unfortunate things you have to endure in order to get to that wonderful flower.

When it comes down to it, art is an opinion, and I respect yours. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. :]

This is pretty cool!

I like the viewpoint and how you've framed this piece. It's quite interesting how we have to see past the leaves to what is hidden there... I like the way the leaves obscure the view in that sense and how it invites us to look deeper below the surface of things, in a sense.

I do feel that you could crop the left side and a bit of the right side as well so that there is a square overall, as I feel there is a bit too much excess space here.

Other than that, it's not too bad. I like the shallow depth of field and how it makes sure we are more focused on the main subject matter here.

Great atmosphere and lighting. :)

Thank you very much for your insight. :) I'll consider your ideas for improving the pic. I agree--there kinda is too much room in the corner. :/

Thank you again! It's nice to get some thoughtful feedback.
